Moroccan Delegation Visits Madaba Governorate to Boost Tourism and Cultural Cooperation

A Moroccan delegation, headed by His Excellency Abdelouahed El Ansari, paid an official visit to Madaba Governorate. The visit was organized by the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Emad Hijazeen, on the sidelines of the delegation’s participation in the Jordanian-Moroccan Exhibition, with the aim of enhancing tourism and cultural cooperation between Jordan and Morocco.
During the visit, the delegation met with the Head of the Madaba Municipality Committee, Engineer Haitham Jwienat, who briefed them on a draft twinning agreement with the Moroccan city of Meknes.
The program also included a tour of the Madaba Institute for Mosaic Art and Restoration, as well as several of the governorate’s most prominent tourism and archaeological sites. The visit concluded with a tour of the Church of the Map.
