Tourism Minister Discusses Enhancing Christian Pilgrimage to Jordan with Global Evangelical Alliance Leaders

The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Emad Hijazeen, received a delegation of leaders from the Global Evangelical Alliance to discuss ways to promote Christian pilgrimage to Jordan.

The delegation included the Secretary-General of the Global Evangelical Alliance, Reverend Boutros Mansour; the European Baptist Union Ambassador for the Middle East and North Africa, Reverend Nabeih Abbasi; and the President of Bethlehem Bible College, Reverend Jack Sara.

During the meeting, participants explored ways to enhance Christian pilgrimage to Jordan, particularly in anticipation of the third millennium of Christ’s baptism in 2030.

Minister Hijazeen emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to supporting religious tourism within a comprehensive vision for developing the sector.

Reverend Boutros Mansour highlighted future cooperation prospects, including the implementation of projects and investments in the field of Christian pilgrimage.
