Tourism Ministry Hosts Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Karak

Representing the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Emad Hijazeen, Secretary-General Yazan Al-Khudair attended the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Our Lady of the Rosary Latin Church in Karak.
The event was attended by Karak Governor Dr. Qublan Al-Sharif, Father Alaa Ba‘ir, local clergy, and community members.
The ceremony is part of the Ministry’s efforts to support religious and cultural events, highlighting Jordan’s message of tolerance.
During the event, Al-Khudair stated that the gathering is a message of love and peace that reflects the values of coexistence upheld in Jordan.
He also stressed the Ministry’s continued commitment to preserving religious and heritage sites across the Kingdom.
As part of the celebrations, Al-Khudair inaugurated a Christmas bazaar at the church featuring local products and crafts.
Father Alaa Ba‘ir remarked that Christians and Muslims come together as one family to light the Christmas tree.
