Hijazeen and Braizat Inspect Petra Archaeological Site

The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Emad Hijazeen, and the Chief Commissioner of the Petra Development and Tourism Authority, Dr. Fares Braizat, conducted an inspection tour of the archaeological site in Petra to review tourism activity and services.

The tour included a visit to the Crowne Plaza Petra Hotel following its recent renovation, in addition to field visits within the archaeological reserve.

Dr. Hijazeen expressed his satisfaction with the notable return of tourism activity to Petra, stressing continued cooperation with the Petra Development and Tourism Authority.

For his part, Dr. Braizat said that tourism activity at the site is currently active and promising.

The visit is part of a series of field tours aimed at assessing the readiness of tourism sites and monitoring visitor services.
