Jordan hosted the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) Middle East Summit 2026, "ICCA Middle East 2026," at the Dead Sea.
This key event, specializing in the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions sector (MICE), brought together experts and industry representatives from over 11 countries, reflecting Jordan's "growing" prominence on the regional business tourism map.
In a statement Wednesday, Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) stated hosting the summit presents a "significant" opportunity to showcase Jordan's "advanced" infrastructure and tourist assets.
The board added that the summit provides a platform for exchanging expertise, building partnerships, and reviewing the latest global trends in the MICE sector, which would enhance efforts to attract more regional and international events.
On its role, JTB noted it attaches "special" importance to this sector due to its direct economic impact, noting investment in MICE tourism contributes to attracting international spending and promoting exchange of knowledge, partnerships and investments, which supports economic development and enhances Jordan’s global competitiveness.
